1816 US LARGE CENT/PENNY

Description

This Large Cent would make a great gift for a new collector or for a collector who never had any of these coins. This coin looks better in person than in the scans   The 1816 coin has a good 4 number date and a full Liberty. Montage was only 2.8 million for this 200 year old coin.not many survivors in decent shape.
These coins saw heavy usage and many didn't survive. All these large cents are rare and some dates are extremely expensive. This date is more moderately priced as there were more survivors. Large Cents were minted from 1793 to 1857 before they were phased out by the Flying Eagle and then the Indian Head Cents. After  collecting these coins for over 60 years, I am disposing of anything that is not really part of my collection.
I am a collector, not a dealer. It is time for them to move on to the next collector. The numbers on the coin holder are not my handwriting.
As these are raw coins (not encapsulated) I do not normally do returns; however, if you receive the coins and feel something is wrong contact me through ebay and we will see what can be done.
