I closed down my production studio, these dies were purchased for use with a North Star Big Blue Extruder. I will be listing the Big Blue Extruder later this week. This is a set of Two (2) dies to produce hollow test tiles. The small tiles measure about 3 1/4" tall. The large die produces tiles about 4 1/4" tall. Just slice the extrusion once it gets to leather hard. We used these test tile for line bends, the hollow form would slide onto chains / ropes so the entire line blend could be easily stored and kept together. Great for teaching studios to quickly produce glaze samples for students.
These dies were used a couple of dozen times and were well cared for, you will notice that they are in near new condition. The small tile die does have a small surface scratch, but it does not extend into the cutting portion of the die and does not mark the clay. I understand you can use these six (6) inch extruder dies with North Star 4" inch extruders providing you have an expansion box. These dies were not ever used, they just sat in a cabinet since their purchase.
NOTE: You need a die bridge, sold separately, to hold the center portion of the die in place while making an extrusion. I have one die bridge available in my shop.
